George Brock is currently a professor and the head of journalism at City University London since 2009. He chairs the British committee of the International Press Institute and is a board member of the World Editors Forum. Previously, he was a writer and editor for the Times as well as a reporter at the Yorkshire Evening Press and the Observer. Brock attended Corpus Christi College, Oxford in 1973 where he received a Master of Arts in Modern History. George Brock was born on November 7th, 1951 and is currently 62. "Out of Print: Newspapers, Journalism and the Business of News in the Digital Age" is Brock's first book.
